 The
roadster was originally built by Paul with Ford power in 1952.
It was the top eliminator at the second-ever New England Drag
Race Championships in 1954; New England Champion several times
and it was 2nd at the National Championships in Oklahoma City
in 1958 with Chevy power. The car was then completely rebuilt
with a custom tube chassis and a hand-built independent front
suspension, the first of its kind known to be incorporated in
a street roadster. After selling the car in 1963, the chassis
has been recovered and Paul is in the process of completely
restoring this car again. |
